tymar intake length

does the tymar connect directly to the turbo inlet? my boot on the turbo inlet is torn and im putting off replacing it cause i plan on getting a tymar soon, but if the tymar doesent go that far im gonna go ahead. cant tell from the pics ive seen but looks like the tymar just goes to the pedastal right where the ccv ties into the intake.

Definately replace the boot NOW. If you get dust in there you will be getting a turbo. What I would do is order a boot for a SD from the dealer. Check the pics in my sig for p/n. get a piece of 4" exhaust pipe about 3-4" long then go to Napa and get a p/n 6637 airfilter. You can tell NAPA you are a AAA member for a discount on the filter. Filter is about $40 and boot is about $55 pipe is $4-$5. I really can't remember the exact costs but that is close. There you have a new intake for around $100. Oh yeah when you do this put a piece of 3/4" heater hose on the CCV and you have done the CCV mod also. This will all take you about 1 hour or so.

Yep on what neal said! The tymar does just go to the housing just above the valve cover (ccv housing). so replacing that orange boost is a good idea asap. If you are ordering a true Tymar they have the updated black boost kits also in stock.
