Flywheel Question

I recently acquired a flywheel but am not sure which weight it is.

Casting# is: E7ZR-6380-AA

I want to stick it in my '67 289 but want to be sure the imbalance is correct.

Thank You!

Casting# is: E7ZR-6380-AA=1987 Mustang / it uses a different vibration damper than the 1967 289 does.

If your 289 has the original damper, only ONE of these two flywheels is correct.

1965/67 289 = C3AZ-6375-J .. Flywheel-M/T = marked: C6ZE-6380-A or B & C7ZE-6375-B - OBSOLETE

1965/67 289 = C3AZ-6375-L .. Flywheel-C-4 = marked: C80P-C or D -STILL AVAILABLE FROM FORD.

C3AZ-J (157 teeth) = Manual transmission was also used on 302's from 1971/78

C3AZ-L (157 teeth) = C-4 was also used on 302's from 1968/76.

Thanks. I'm converting my 67 mustang from a auto to a manual. I've found someone who can balance this flywheel to match the c4 flexplate of 28 oz. that I removed.

One more question, will the 87 mustang flywheel have the same number of teeth as the 67?

(I know, count them my self but I'm not able to do this for a couple of days)

Thanks guys.
