Factory Trailer hitch question
Did several searches - nothing.
On my X's trailer hitch there are two electrical connections - a large round one and a smaller 4 wire inline connection. I'm sure the 4 wire one is a standard light connection but what is the larger round one? The owner's manual was no help.

The round one is the 7-pin connector. Use this connector mainly for trailers that have electric brakes.
The 4-pin as you know is for small utility trailers and U-hauls. It is only for the lights.
