Two issues on my X!

For the second time in six months I have a squealing coming form my driver's side rear wheel. At first it only did it when I applied the brakes but now it does it when applying the brakes and while driving down the road. I am wondering if the caliper is screwed up somehow.

Second, for the past week I have had problems with my windows, just putting them up. I can hear the motor engage but the window won't go up. It does it with all the windows, not just one. If I keep clicking the switch they will eventually go up, anyone have any suggestions?

Check your rear slide pins and calipers. I just replace both of these on my X due to the same problem you are having. I got the slide pins from Ford and calipers from Murry's. It took care of my problem.
Sorrry, no help on the window.

Windows I am guessing the motors. It is weird they all went at once though.
AS for your rear driver wheel is making noice I might think the same as you but then again you may need some gresae back there, but since you said the noice started with the brake and now is constant it is most likely within the brake system. It could even be a small piece of metal or soemthing rubbing.

It's a company truck so it's service by our mechanic. I told him I think there is either something wrong with the caliper or the slides are gummed up. I took him Perf. Friction pads and rotors and he changed them out. So I have no idea what he did except I know he didn't change the caliper. Within a few months they started squealing again, so bad that I hated driving it because I was embarrased. Today I took it to a new place to have done. I would have done it myself but it's too darn hot out.
