I know to many great engine builders that call Holley carbs "sewer pipes". I personally would throw a Holley in the scrap pile before I used one, Model 94 excluded.
I've found they leak way too much and the governed ones are a nightmare.
Everyone has their favorites and hates....
Personally I like Holleys, if they leak you screwed up! Simple fix if you know carbs.
From what I know a Q-jet will out perform a holley 10 hp across the board, work better offroad and get better fuel mileage plus do 750 cfm. I know it's a chevy carb. An edelbrock is the easier to tune since you can change jets in under 1 min.
The Motorcraft 2150 is way better than a Holley 2300.
no use even argueing no point in yelling at a brick wall, but if you know how to adjust 2150's properl and maintain them I'll get you a wheel barrow full by Monday. Have to give me time to get them unburied.
As for performance issues against Edelbrock Holles hands down but as a result Edelbrock does get better milleage.
We have a holley carb on our grain truck and so far it doesnt really work worth a damn.
Now on that note I have seen a ton of holley's higher performance carbs on done up engines, and they sure work slick.
Alot of times working on a carbed engine is just as easy as stroking the keyboard a few times, for the right guy. Some guys know carbs so well it would make your head spin what they can do with them!
That is actually something I would be very interested in trying on one, maybr more of my Flathead Fords.
M main question is where is the best source for this 12v hot wire, would the old ignition wire work as the 12V positive wire.

Also is COD aviable in Canada?
Thanks
1) No, COD's are not available to Canada.
2) Just run a new 12 gauge hot wire from any fuse that is "hot" when your ignition is turned on, and then run that wire to the positive side of the DUI coil, which is inside the cap.
