I own an Orange 1973 F-250 Camper Special 2WD that has been in the family since it was new. It currently has almost 400,000 miles on the 390 (2nd or 3rd rebuild , about due for the next), and I found the site while trying to remedy my leaking power steering gearbox.
Currently looking for an easy bolt-on upgrade that I can find in the junkyard, otherwise I will probably just put one of the same back in.
Hi and welcome Jeff, nice to have you on board.
Your 1973 Camper Special sounds like a neat truck and especially since it`s been in the family forever.
400,000 miles is alot but I`m glad your keeping it alive and well.

Howdy & Welcome, Having a truck passed down like that is a great thing not to mention you are keeping it alive instead of letting it sit and rust. Got to luv those Big Blocks. With that many miles and rebuilds has it been Bored out? I f not you might want to think about doing so. I always go with .030 but that's just me. Good luke with the truck.
Not nes. a standard thing for rebuild especially if a shop rebuilt it. They will just slap a set of rings in it and let it go. Has there been any oil usage? Were it mine the next rebuild I would get the cyclinders mic.ed and take it from there. I've rebuilt many withoust boring to a larger size.
