Hey folks, anyone fixed any of this? I will be leaving in about 30 minutes to meet Pete in Nashville. He told me he was getting airbag LFC flash of 27. This appears to be 1882 or 1883 from my shop manual but I won't know until I hook up the AE. Either of those appear to be passenger pretensioner circuit shorted to battery or ignition, or shorted to ground.
Of course none of this is a huge emergency as he is underway, but if there is a short to the ignition, well who knows? I hate electrical gremlins. I believe I've mentioned that before.
Again, I will be here for a bit longer. At any rate, Pete has a cool wireless connection so we may check back then too.
Well, never mind. A scan revealed some codes but none of the 1800s so it is not a hard DTC code. Now he has an annoying airbag light.
Gene, you were right, the fluctuating needles were my own doing with my tired self. I found no suitible level coast down location. My truck reads exactly 2k at 69 MPH. At 70, the tack needle is just to the right of the 2k mark, just touching the mark. At 75 I am just at about 22k.
So Pete is off on his way. Pleasure meeting you and Katrina. Thanks again for the dinner. Sorry it was short but I go back to work in the AM. I hate the end of vacations.
We met here. Pete has the people pics as his camera was better. I believe that's Katrina hiding behind Pete's truck.

well i found whats causing my airbag light to blink, and its intermitent, so Action4487 was on to somthing, you know that lamp or light for passenger side airbag OFF switch?
well that mother when i turn the key it lights up or not, so if it lights when ill turn the key, no airbag light , if it fail to light i get blinking airbag light,
now how bad is to replace that bulb?
Well, there is a difference between a failing bulb and a blinking code. If it is still blinking that 2 and 7 series, I doubt it is the bulb. Just don't see that coincidence. If not, my apologies to Action as I was just going off what you told me.
As for bulb replacement, I've not done that, but to qoute NLEmerise I believe, "how hard can it be". Shop DVD is in patrol car again.
it was great, defenetly worth seeing, Chebby, but i still like them, they are unique,
and as far as the light , it might be just a connection, cause i can make it to go in and out when you turn the airbag off, it should stay lit , and it does not, when i hit the dash will go in and out, im talking about the bulb by the Key for the passenger bag off , and i im not talking about the dash light,

Can't help ya. Don't even have the pass disable option. Good luck. Enjoy rest of trip.
