Onboard air.

I was going to pick up an air compressor tomorrow to mount on my Ford, mainly to air up tires and my bags... I was wondering if anyone knows of a good, cheap compressor that will manage airing up 42's? I dont care if it is a slow compressor, just so it gets the job done consistently.

I have heard Costco has one that holds its own, and even beat the more expensive VIAIR models...?

Thanks. I was looking for one that I could hard wire to a car battery though. I would rather not get into mounting it to the engine.

problem with those elec units is they take forever to pump big tires! i can fill my 39's from 3 psi to 25 psi in about 30 seconds with the truck in high idle

Wow, that's fast!

I don't mind having to wait longer, as long as it gets the job done, and can inflate 4 42's in under an hour.

Junk? Will it manage 42's and air bags?

Thanks,
