I skimmed through this thread, I went through the same issue in the past last year, in the morning when cold it would idle fine, when hot after a long drive it would lope and stumble pretty hard, after a couple of months of figuring it out which included ohming out my injectors, checking the wiring, adding a HPX line, shimming the regulator, all which give a suddle improvment but never solved the problem I said screw it and I started pulling my injectors out. turned out I had 2 bad o-rings on my injector o-rings and a third that was ever so starting to detoriate. changed the injector o-rings and has idled great since.
Cover your bases first before running after the injector o-rings, but that was my problem and I had no fuel in my oil and what I had gathered is when the engine was hot and the oil had thinned it would cause issues, thats my theory of course.
Good theory I would stick with it.LOL. Sounds sensible it could easily happen. Strange that there was no fuel in oil though. I gues not enough to tell.

If some did go in I did not notice, my truck hardly uses any oil, maybe 1/2 a liter every 3500kms at the most if any and my oil never seemed to climb or thin out before and after the injector replacement.
The blown engine I pulled out 8 weeks ago in a e-350 was a direct cause of blown injector o-rings, oil flowed like water and was nearly clear.
I may have found the problem. For poops and giggles, I changed the EGR sensor with a new one, and it appears that my idle problems have gone away. It is running very smooth, hot, or cold. Interesting................

i am having the idle problem but on a much more serious level. i am suspecting injector orings or the ipr. just posted the problem i am going to wait for some suggestions. was it the fuel or oil orings that were bad on your injectors?
