not to affend anybody but ive always thought that the 50s dodges and internationals were really ugly compared to a ford or chevy. there great work trucks just uglier than tar. now get back into the 40s or get talking about powerwagons then i like them. regardless ive always wanted a 38-39 ford pickup they look awsome, but then again im in love the the 57-60 fords which lots of people think are ugly.
Being the proud(???) owner of a 1959 Dodge truck I can attest to the fact that they are a bit on the ugly side (major understatement) I picked up the truck for free and my youngest son took a liking to it, so it will be his.
I have grown to like the look of the truck. Its also cool in that you just don't see too many of them driving down the road.
Was at a car show last week and overheard a Dodge owner ( a very nice P/U ) say "that there were no "ugly" trucks, only ugly people who diss other makes just because they own a different make". Sounds a bit true. I have perused other make site forums and noticed that brand x owners really don't diss other makes with regularity. I wonder if it is unique to a ford owner................Hmmmmmmmmmm

If you have never looked, check out some of that era Studebaker trucks. The lines make one think of how a truck would look if a Ford and a Chevy had a baby.
I guess that would make it a stepchild if it had running boards!!! (Sorry).
ohh, no way. I like the internationals, even bid on one on ebay that was in a decent driving distance. Only time I ever bid on a vehicle on ebay, cause well can't see what your getting and other risks that go with ebay. And your not going to see as many internationals as fords.I think the kb's are pretty cool looking truck, but as much as its a chore finding parts for older trucks, bet an old international would be quite a bit tougher then an old ford. I agree, some of them studes are pretty sharp too, along with ******.
of the old dodge and international trucks that I have seen, they don't seem to hold up as well as the Fords & Chevys. The bodies are really bad off. The cabs are either really rusty or there are all kinds of splits in the sheet metal. These were all 1.5 ton are larger so I'm sure they were worked hard but I don't find that the fords are chevys Ive seen in that bad a shape, unless of course they came from near the coast where everything rusts.
course im a little predijust when it comes to likeing fords my dad always had a old 70s ford around as his mechanican truck so i grew up riding in fords, that and my dad always hated dodges because of the 70s models that shook apart after two years and were crap.
