a year to get fixed
One year ago I bought a 2005 Explorer with 25K, still under warranty. I complained the first day about the tranny skipping at slow speeds,like when backing out of a parking space. The codes in the computer were reset as the car shut down one night, and we still had a skip. Finally after going back to he dealer for the last time they reset the codes in the 4 X4 drive. There was a bad message in the computer that the traction was set to premature. They stopped my skip. I reported this problem on this forum a year ago and here is the final result. I hope it helps someone else. The skip was at very slow speeds like when I would turn in a parking lot.
