Anyone know the bore and stroke of 292s and 312s. When I rebuild my 292, I would like to make it a 312. Any good books on the old Ys?

I don't know anything about the 312, but my shop manual gives bore and stroke of the 292 as 3.750x3.300. I'm interested in hearing what you find out. Best of luck on the continuing 64 project.

Thanks, 3B, I was there before but didnt have time to look around. Tell me this, why do they only want to talk about pre 62 blocks? Do they not realize Ford used them in trucks untill 64? I dont get it! Ah well!

The 312 boreX stroke is: 3-51/64 x 3-7/16
The 292 bore X stroke is: 3-3/4 x 3-19/64

So, the 312 bore is about .050" over the 292 and stroke is 11/64" inch longer on the 312.
