hey Matt, I got another tree question. I've got a tree in my backyard (my only really big tree) that has 3 big vertical sections that come out of the base. (fork) Where they seperate, they are cracked and split, like they are spliting apart. I can't really tell how bad the splits are in that picture. But, it should be able to get saved. You have to hire a tree service to come in and install some cabling and or bracing. Hire a tree service that has ISA certified arborists. They will know the best system to use on that tree. Judging from that tree be prepared to spend around 4-600 dollars to save it.
1. a weekend or two
2. Big ford truck, say... something heavy and with a 4-low setting, preferibly a diesel
3. heavy duty chains for pulling
4. a bunch of buddies
5.amywhere from 3-10 cases of beer, depending on how many buddies
6. a cooler big enough to suit the demand to cool the beverages.
