Ok I have a problem with my truck that I can't figure out. I drive a '05 5.4 Screw with about 38000 miles. I have had this problem for about two years. When I accelerate from a stop sign, right as my truck is about to get into 2nd gear it hesitates, my RPM's stay high and then my truck jolts into gear. It feels like it misses a gear. Also the same thing happens and if the truck doesn't jolt it sounds like grinding from the rear end. I've taken it to the dealership and have had my rear end replaced along with sensors. They don't feel its a transmission problem. I have had TSB's that I thought could fix it and have had no luck. The wierd thing about the problem is the problem has not gotten worse. Jolt isn't worse, the only thing is that it happens sporadically. I would complain more about the dealership not fixing it, but my dad is the owner so unless my truck won't drive I get put to the back burner. The problem is driving me nuts and I still have full warranty on it so I would like to fix it now. If anybody has any ideas please let me know. Thanks!
I would but it is a lot easier to just take it to my dad's dealership. That is an obvious choice, but I was hoping to get ideas on what the problem might be.
I would drop it off at daddy's dealership and have him give you a loaner. I find it hard to believe that a dealer is going to give up factory money, to troubleshoot a truck that's under warranty, and place it on the "back burner". All because the dealer owns the truck.
