I had found an old 4v intake just laying around and it seems to bb in pretty good condition but i dont know what it goes to, hear are the numbers on the intake:
S C8AE Firing order: 15426378
9425-f
all help would be greatly apperated
it would either be an FE or a 385.......if it is a small block, you would DEFINETLEY be able to tell the difference between that and a BB.......BB's are like twice as big...well those 2 BB's are neways!
there is also a big difference between an FE intake and a 385 Intake.....the FE's intake is part of the vavle cover gasket, and the FE intake only has like...10 intake bolts
the 385 has 16
BTW 385 series= 429, and 460
FE series=352,360,390,406,410,427,428

I believe in deciphering the part number its an intake off of a 68+ car, not a truck, and if its 4v its PROBABLY not a small block intake....most likely a 385 series intake, if its just cluttering uo your garage I can take it off your hands for ya J/K
Just tried to look that number up - then discovered on mine it was C3AE-9425. Still didn't find it, but know my manifold came off a 1965 Merc 390 (FE).

That would be a "S" code 4v for an FE (352-428), usually found mounted to late 60's FE powered Mustangs, Cougars and the like. I'm guessing that you found it weighs about 60lbs... There should be what I call ears at the ends of the manifold, these will extend about 1/3 way down the block surface and mount up with the heads. There will also be three bolt holes (two on ends and one in the middle) for the valve covers.

I totally agree thats its FE series intake and nothing else. I have actually weighed my 4v intake and with a dab of coolant it weighed 80 lbs. The FE intake weigh 75-80lbs.
