I have a 1981 Ford F100 and betwwen the floor and the rocker there is a line of rust i am wondering if a rocker panel is long and wide enough. Also I have put resin over the old floor pans (they had alo of surface rust) and painted them. If i put a ruberized coating over the pans then resin the whole bottom of the truck then put rubber bed coat over the whole bottom then paint it with rusolem paint then ruber coat the underneath of the truck how long will it last?

I just replaced this stuff on a f350. Problem is the rust area is the joint between the floor and the rocker. To fix that area, you are going to need the slip on rocker and the outer floor panel. Since you are putting resin everywhere, you might as well be consistent and knock the rust out as best you can and use some cloth along with the resin to fill it in.
