master cylinder????

Ok... has anyone had problems getting the "cap" off your brake master cylinder? 53 F100.... I've used wd40 for a couple of days and I simply can't seem to budge the "aluminum" cap on top of my master...?????

Do I just need more leverage?

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

the cap on my 57 was frozen also. i used a large pipe wrench around the flange after soaking with PB Blaster. previous owner sheared the top from the clutch master cyclinder by torquing too much on the nut-shaped portion.
i just filed down the small gouges the wrench left after i got it off.
