Vibration from Hood Deflector?

Vibration from Hood Deflector?
Hello!
I have a 2000 F150 4x4 Lariat. I Installed a grill guard and Bug Deflector up front. While the grill guard is a Lund and is pretty hefty, the deflector isn't as solid. I know the grill guard bolts are tight as can be. I am getting a helluva vibration from the front and it varies depending on wind conditions. It can get real loud at times when it's real windy. So loud you can't hear the music and it really messes with the bass sound. Could it be the deflecta shield vibrates so fast theat it makes this loud humming noise? I'll take it off and see, but then I have them dang little nipples sticking off the hood. Can those be removed w/o ruining the paint? Anyone ever have this problem?
