vibrations from drivetrain
i have a 1999 f250 p.s. 4x4 c.c. it has 160,000 miles on it. i am experiencing some vibration from somewhere on the drivetrain. i changed the carrier bearing thinking that this was the problem, but not successful. the vibrations come at different speeds & go away when i come to a stop (or just about stopped). it feels like when you have a flat (or multiple flats). it doesn't drive or shift any different than normal. please help!

sounds like u-joints are shot. do you get a clunk when you put it in gear?
had the same prob on my 87 changed ujoints no more vibration about 15.00ea at a parts house for heavy duty

it could my 84 only did it certain times never when putting in gear, letting off the clutch the 87 did it when going into reverse only doesnt hurt to replace them anyway i would do all 4 primary joints dont forget to mark the drive shafts so it goes back the same way it came out (balancing issue)
