Hi gang. I need help. I am getting a P1131 code. Scanner says "Insuff. Switching O2 Bank 1 Sensor 1 Sensor/Lean". The I/M monitors in the scanner also says "Oxygen Sens Mon Inc(incomplete)" and "Oxygen Sens Htr Inc(incomplete). In looking up Ford codes on the internet, that code says to refer to code P1130 for possable causes. In that code section, oil overfill is listed as a probable cause. I just HAD my oil changed by a Pontiac dealership. The oil level is at the top hole on the incorrect dip stick. This tells me that it is overfull. What's the chances that this is the problem? Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks. OBTW which side is bank 1, driver or passenger?
Well, it's not the oil overfill that's causing the problem. Just did a test trip and it's still throwing the same code. I'll start checking the sensor this afternoon. Anybody have a trouble shooting procedure for the sensors?
No. Sensor 2 bank 1 is after the cat. Sensor 1 bank 2 is on the driver side. There are only 3 sensors. Two of them are in the Y pipe and one is after the cat. Passenger side is bank 1, driver's side is bank 2. There will not be a bank 2 sensor 2.
