need advice on trans quick
Hello. I have an 1999 f250 powerstoke 4x4 with an auto trans. I installed the tricumulator springs and the sonnox valve this weekend and ever since it does not want to shift out of 2nd gear without letting of the pedal after it gets past second it is fine. yesterday the od light started blinking and the heat guage rose to about 180 from about 165 it was really hot and humid out so i shut it off and it never did again that day. i took out the springs but couldn't change the valve because i scarred it bad after i got it out during the installation process ( dropped it on the cement floor) taking the springs out didn't help much but the od light started blinking again after about 80 miles. it shifted good but the light was still blinking. The abs and park light have been on beforehand for about a week if that has anything to do with it. never had any problems with the trans before i put this shift kit in?? What could be causing this?? looking forward to any input i use my truck for work everyday so this kinda sucks.

can you check for codes?? there should be a code if the OD lite was blinking..my 1st guess would be the vss on the rear end..maybe you knocked a wire off while under there too..check all the connections..

If you had issues before the kit, chances are that they could be showing some different symptoms now (like the 2-3 issue). Check the things Ron mentioned, and go from there.
