my dad and i went in together and bought a new truck today. 2005 F350 King Ranch CC SB FX4 with 83K miles. it'll be primarily his truck, but since i helped him get i expect to drive it some. it has the 11,400# GVWR, which i was amazed for a SRW truck. i didn't realize how much nicer these were than my 02 xlt. kinda sad, but my payment is 170 buck less, so i guess more money for mods. anyway just wanted to share. here's a link, since i'm retarded for not figuring out how to post pictures.
Be careful with those seats. My buddy has an 06 KR, and he has to cover up his beautiful Italian-Cow seats with brown towels because even the slightest spill will stain the color... He said even water will make a mark that you need to shampoo out. But other than that, good luck with the truck. Time to head over to the 6.0 board for some mods!
haven't had an oasis report, i guess. it'll primarily be my dad's but i had to help with getting it (ie i had better credit). it appears pristine. i'm going to sign papers tomorrow, i'll see if i can get an oasis ran first. as for mods, since my dad is not toooooo into modifying an expensive truck (older not as mechanically inclined, etc) i'm not sure how far he/we will mod it. but definitely a MAJOR upgrade from the dodge 1500 he had with 290K miles. i told him this truck would outlast him.....just kidding!! he's only 55 so i certainly hope not.
i definitely have to work on some cosmetic modifications to mine. i mean i love my truck, but next to this one, a little of the shine seems worn off. i have a big dent in the right rear quarter, from trying to back my landscape trailer in a hurry. and a few small dents from what looks like other drivers' doors. small, and maybe remadied easily. but i'm waiting until i'm no longer pulling the trailer everyday for work, before i get it all repaired. probably repaint then. but i really want the '05 front end, just gotta prioritize.

I don't know for sure, but logic tells me that the front end on your truck now, will fit on the 05. If the 05 fits on the older truck, why not? Maybe one night when dad is out of town... :X
When my dad was here in Texas visiting from California he came out to the driveway one morning to find me checking out and comparing his front end pieces on his '05 to my '02. I told him I was thinking of swapping them out while he was visiting.
