The next time you're on a flat stretch of road, with no one behind, and without much head or tail wind, get up to 75 MPH, shift to neutral, and coast down to as slow as you can go without blocking traffic, and measure your time and distance like I've shown in the pic below. This table is my drag race model given here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/635809-new-improved-drag-race-model-im-open-for-business.html , but run backwards with no HP applied to the track, and it measures elapsed time and distance from 70 MPH down to 25 MPH, where the de-acceleration is due to rolling resistance and aerodynamic drag. The road test data that I'm asking for will also include a loss due to the diff and rear bearing in the tranny, so road test coast should reduce speed a little quicker than my model.
Just use a watch that measures in seconds, and watch your trip odometer to get tenths of a mile. Use roadside markers if there are any. Watch your review mirror, or safer yet let a passenger take the time and distance readings.
Seems like there would be too many unknowns to deal with on this one unless we were all in the same spot on the same day all going the same direction.
I plan on averaging the data. This is more than just mental exercise, which I also need, but I also need this data to calibrate my drag/rolling resistance equations.

Since I'm an official Texan, I know how fast people drive there, so please watch your rear. I've made a number of these coasting measurements with and without the 5er in tow, but I'd like to get some from others to compare with mine.
