The C6 is a great tranny. We have a 55 f100 with a OMC king cobra 460 mated to a C6. The motor puts out 443hp and 560+ lb ft of torque and the transmission doesnt miss a beat. The 9" rear end and the frame on the other hand, well lets just say they have seen better days before being torqued on by the engine.

WOW a C6 3 speed in a 96 F350 ??? didn't know that existed so late on in the game!! i know GM and Dodge dropped the 3 speeds LONG before then. Interesting.
