Man what an afternoon yesterday, started wireing up my guages and then had talked to kris and he told me to come over he'd give me a hand, on the way over there I lost everygear but first and second! trans. fluid leaking all over the place. Once I had left kris' (w/o my guages even being touched) on the way home I only had first gear, thats a 20 minute normal ride took like an hour...at a wooping 32 mph at 3100, HA! o well, goes into the shop this after noon to get a new trans...dad said its not even close to stock but he wouldn't tell me what it is... : ( o well so much for ordering dp-tuner and stacks this week!
No, Thats great. Just think you were going to have to do it anyway(sooner or later) so now you will have what most consider the weakest link taken care of and you wont have to worry about breaking the tranny when you add the power.
You know, add vodka to lifes lemons and make..... oops just remembered, he aint legal yet.
Stroken, DO NOT add vodka (or any other alcoholic beverage) to your lemons, just suck it up, and grin and bear it till you're 21.
ha ha yeah im only 17 but i don't drink liquor anyways...just beer : )
yep when i added my evo it blew my turbo apart, now it blew my trans out...so new turbo + new trans + new converter+ 114 thousand miles = hopefully no more broken part..and can put money into POWER!!!
If possible, try and get a good converter, and not just a new stocker. If you want to make big power one day, youll hate not haveing a good converter, which seems to come at a grand or so. But if cashflow isnt there right now, and you dont have any options, stock will work, untill your making the big power, in which case youll need to pull the tranny again! Good luck, sorry about your loss (the tranny), Hopefully you should start to get more life out of the truck haha!
