2.8 heads

I have an 85 2.8. I have been told that this engine has a right and a left head and they are not interchamgeable. I have looked at the heads and I can not see any difference. Can anyone tell me if the heads are different and if so how to tell which is which? Thanks

Bo, who said they are different right to left? Are we sure he knows what he is talking about? I have an 84 2.8 and did not notice any differnce side to side when I rebuilt it. DF

One of the guys at the machine shop told me that the heads would only fit one side. If they were put on the wrong side that the rocker arms would not oil. It looks to me like the oil passages line up with either head on eihter side. But I thought that I might be missing something. Thanks for the reply.
