It think you'll enjoy it then. I go home To Texas quite a bit so I do hear it. But I just turn the stereo up alittle more. I recently installed Fat Mat in my engine bay above the turbo. If you look you will see bare metal here! Well I installed a peice from this point down the firewall. I also installed it inside all four doors too. It made a big difference in the engine and road noise. I have enough to do the Floor,up the rr window, and thru the Headliner area. This will be done hopefully this summer. Just to hel keep some of the noise out. The turbo sound sweet too. Hey have you seen some of write ups here on the Aluminum foil delete on the return air pipe to the turbo? I havn't done it but some of the guys here love this mode. I guess you can really hear the Turbo whistle when you remove that stuff. Country
yeah i have my foil deleted and i actually have my IC pipes painted metalic blue. pretty cool really I like it. I got a whicked wheel but havnt installed it yet kinda hoping i will get a lil more noise out of it.
Nice. Agian from what some of the guys here say is the WW will help with the whislte we're all trying to hear too. I didn't do it because I have the BB Turbo and it sounds good right now. Maybe down the line I'll do it too. Did you notice more whistle when you did the foil delete mod, or just more noise. Country
no actually when i bought the truck it already had them removed. Made it easier on me. I did notice that the 6673 made it a lil louder maybe its just me.
HAH HAH I couldn't figure it out either . Thats why I used the Webshots program. I think when I was trying to download pic's, I wasn't able to because I didn't have enough post's yet. I think you need to have like 20-30 posts to be able use the FTE gallery. Country
lol couldnt figure FTE out so I did webshots too. I ran outside and snapped a few pics. It dark so I tried. Ill get some more later when I her her cleaned up. I work construction so the sites are really dusty.
i posted a similar topic about this last week about different muffler options, cause the drone for me is almost too much with no muffler. i got some good responses, not sure what i am gonna do yet, but i had an idea, i checked out the BTM muffler at http://www.blackclouddiesel.com/Ford/walkermuffler.htm and at the bottom of the page they showed a stock muffler that has the side cut away, i was thinking if i were to cut my side out and make some bigger vent holes, and then weld the side back on, wouldnt that give it better flow and still be as quiet as stock??? what do you guys think, check out the site and let me know!!
If you run the 6637 and wicked wheel and muffler delete thats about as noisy as a 7.3 is going to get from turbo whine to the exhaust note 5in exhaust will be more throaty but i dont think much LOUDER.
The WW has been so far the absolute worst mileage killer for me. It makes a whole lot more whistle, almost a scream actually. I can't keep my foot out of it for nothin'!!!
Might work. I have the same system on my truck, but with the I think 24" muffler. It sounded ok before, but once I removed the muffler well I can't go back. I like the sound of the system muffler deleted. For now anyhow. I've had it like this for about 1 year now.. Boy if I hadn't thrown my muffler away I'd send to yah so's not to cut your own apart..
