Hi all, my uncle gave me a carter thermoquad recently. Do any of you know how to tell if it is a 750 or an 850 ? I would have to run an adapter to fit it on my manifold, but it looks interesting. Does anyone have experience with one of these? Did you like it? DF

I don't know how to tell the size, but I ran a carb shop back in the old days and the theory behind the TQuads was a plastic body that didn't transfer heat like alum did. Your right, their an interesting carb, I'd clean it up and run it just for fun. Does it have two float bowls, one on each side and side hung floats?

Well....I think I know why uncle took this off his truck. The plastic body is cracked where the rod goes in for the pump shot. Don't know if I can fix it or not, it is pretty gummed up in there. I do believe I will try however, the twin floats and metering rods and huge secondarys are just irresistable. DF
