2004 Build, F-250, 6.0, 80,000 mi. Original tune program was returned to truck so that truck could be taken to the dealer for repair. Dealer replaced EGR Cooler, Oil Cooler, /EGR Cleaning, replace Turbo and reprogram FICM (TSB 07-5-4). I have driven the truck for a couple of days now as recieved from the dealer with no noticable issues as of yet but have not really gotten on it at all. This truck is used as a daily driver and not abused. I Tried to install Diablo Predator Tune but now get a "Feature not Supported" message. CALID ARZ2AL00, VXBC9N8.HEX*, TQBF0NA.HEX*. How do I correct this to be able to install a tune? The Tuner serial no. is 200021C and has the Ford-6-0-7r45 crom.
Also checked the trouble codes and found P0113, P0404, P0603 and P1102. What is going on here? Could these code be left over from the repair sequence?
The EGR Cooler was replaced and EGR cleaned about 10 mths ago. Is this latest repair a fix for this problem or can I expect a reaccurance in the near future?
If they reflashed your truck then you'll have to update your tuner IF the model of Predator you have will support the tunes for the new flash. If your tuner has the white sticker on it that says 6.0L then I'm pretty sure it won't update as it doesn't have enough memory. It's only good for a diagnostic tool. If you have the later Predator for the 03/04 YM then I think it will update, but you need to check the diablosport website to make sure. I'm not sure what it's marked. The tech section at the beginning of this forum section has the 6.0 bible in it that has a list of codes and what they are. I know the p0404 is an EGR code. p0603 is a Keep Alive Memory code. I'm not sure about the other two off the top of my head. When a dealership does a reflash (you have the inductive heating flash--exactly the same calibration as mine, and it's good) they completely clear the PCM,FICM, and TCM of any trash codes, so you have something going on or they didn't complete the relearn sequence. You might try disconnecting your batteries, turn the headlight switch on for 10 minutes with the batteries disconnected, hook it all back up and drive your truck and see if your codes come back. This will cause the relearn sequence to happen again and if you still have codes then take it to your dealership as you have issues.
Thank you for the info. I will contact diablo tomorrow about the predator. The one that I have does have a "FORD 6.0" sticker on the back. Unfortunantly it appears that I will have to return the truck to the dealer because there is still a leak in the cooling system somewhere as the rad. overflow jug was very low when I checked it this morning.
Where can I find out the details on what this latest flash was supposed to do?
