Need ac compressor help
I have a 2004 6 litre F350.super duty and my ac compressor seized up. Would anyone out there know if somewhere on this site there are info on how to re&re the darn thing..Thought i would ask before i attempted it..thx

I don't know about on site, but maybe one of our resident tech's can email you the information on how to R&R the compressor. I have only done it on a full teardown with the front of the truck removed, so I'm basically useless to you, but I know it's gonna be a chore. Have you looked to see if you could get to it from the underside since it's packed right in around the motor cradle/ frame? I can also tell you that there is a little catch that holds the idler tensioner in the belt loose position so that might help you with that monster. The compressor itself is held on with 3 bolts--two different size heads. Ratchet wrenches help tremendously there. Bowtiehatr, Vloney, Canadaguy, and I-M Tech are 4 tech's that I can think of immediately that you might PM for some help.

just thought i would mention replacing the compressor went well....also i figured the belt would b a pain but it was actually no problem at all....had the inner fender out as well as the passenger batt.....also i removed the air cleaner and that was it and it was no problem getting the belt on...didnt touch rad or shroud.....and when all was done...i couldnt believe i didnt have any spare bolts or nuts laying around.....
