well i finaly am getting around to getting a bigger turbo I think ill be going with the turbonetics from BWD but my question is to convert my early 99 so I need the later up pipes and y thing that goes in to the turbo, I know I need the 5 way and intake manifolds and ped but what else is there?? thanks guys
i just did a swap out my self..you can use this kit http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=276it has every thing you need but the turbo to do the job..i did mine with parts from an 01..i have pictures in my gallery of the early vs late 99..

id go to a IH dealer for the up pipes and they may have the babies butt too..i think some one said they got the babies butt from ford for some thing like 60 bucks..im not sure about that one though..sorry..

I hear its a great turbo..I got the stock turbo with my set up..I just put in the wicked wheel..I want to try the turbonetics turbo.. I hear nothing but good..but with only 80k on this turbo.. I decided to use it for now..but over all with a stock turbo..I did see lower EGt's a little less whistle but I can deal with it..not much gain in seat of the pants till the higher end..you get a little..changing the 15* HPOP to a 17*will make a big differences..that's my next mod...
yea i just put a new stock turbo with a WW on around christmas so it has like 5k on it i just really want more power, i figure maybe i can sell my newish stocker for something and make a litle money back.
If you are going with the BWD turbo, they also have the IH pipes in stock. Save yourself a trip to the IH dealer. They can coat them for you, i sent them a set i got from IH, and they coated them for me, before they had them in stock. Here is the link to the pipes:
