there's 2 counties here that have sink hole issues...for years, these 2 counties have been selling our water to pinellas and hillsborough counties.
(tampa and st.pete)
so that is more the reason for our huge increase then hurricanes.
although, it all started inching up after Andrew.

most of the sink hole claims are crap. people call a crack in the driveway a sinkhole....i think they have been tightening up the conditions that you can claim under--that hasn't made any real changes in the rates yet though.

still easy to claim but the house is then forever TAGGED a sinkhole home-
problem with that is: people are still making out like dirty dogs because they have a couple settling cracks...
