do you know if the top hinge bucket was welded to the dash cross brace that went to the firewall? YES, I BELIEVE IT WAS. Also was the brace tight against the firewall? I have a small gap around .250? I DON'T REMEMBER A GAP THERE.

I have seen on tv where they weld every so often and later use seam sealer? Is this ok? Im not building a show truck just a daily driver. DOnt get me wrong i will not just hack it up. Thanks RT
Hi all, Randy Jack seems your pics and experiances are providing help to a lot of us Thanks! I checked my inner door distance i had it tack welded at 34" so let the tacks go and have plenty of movement in F door pillar but at 33 3/4" can't get an even door gap between F to R outer panels so im waiting on some doors to test fit them and will go from there. My gut feeling is i will end up at 33 3/4" as you have on your truck.
I will update my gallery soon with pics etc
Keep up the good work everyone good to see so many cool trucks getting fixed up! Cheers Kiwi

I think fixing the pillar location by way of equal door gaps is a great idea. That would have saved me a lot of work, as I had to add weld bead to the door rear edges to get the gaps I wanted.
