If you had an injector issue and it doesn't have the current flash then they will install it. It is really a good flash and will help prevent injector issues in the future.

npccpartsman,

Thanks for the reassurance. I have to take a trip this weekend to catch up with the family in New York and I really enjoy cruising in the truck. I hope this will be the last of the problems for a while. I'm hoping to pick up a few goodies for the truck before I have to start saving for Christmas...lol

I picked my truck up at the dealer this morning. They replaced the #4 injector. As I was driving home from the dealer, I noticed that the presets on my radio had been reset. I looked at my mileage (I keep a log book of everything with my truck) and noticed that from the time I dropped the truck off at the dealer on Tuesday, and when I picked it up, I had 311 more miles on it, and 20.4 hours on the engine. I called the dealer back and was told the mileage on the service reciept when the vehicle went in was correct and I was wrong. (Their mileage would account for about 20 miles while there) I reminded the manager that as the truck was going into the service area I asked them to stop so I could make a note of the mileage and engine hours. The service writer stood right next to me as I started the truck back up and wrote the mileage and hours down. The service writer asked me if he could give my log book to the technician because of my entries and descriptions of problems when (and how) they occurred. I agreed and wrote the information on another piece of paper to log in my book later. This is how I knew what the mileage was before they got it.
It boiled down to the manager stating that the service reciept was a legal document and I signed it (before noticing the mileage). Their mileage for the vehicle going in was correct and I was mistaken about the mileage going in.

The problems with the truck have been resolved at this point. I'm taking a trip north this weekend and will see how the truck does over the next 500 - 1000 miles.

My biggest concern is where was has the truck been or what has been going on in the truck.
