Another option for high idle, if you'll be getting a chip, is to have DP-tuner or whomever supplies your tunes to write one of them as a high idle tune. Flip to it and the RPM raises to 1100 (or whatever you ask them for, I suppose... dp uses 1100 by default).

Yes you can specify what High Idle RPM you want from DP, I kept mine at 1100 just because it is enough of Idle that the charging system will work much better, if you are running a PTO or something similar you might want to go a little higher, or with the DP you can simly get more than one High Idle tune to suit your needs. What is the reasoning for the high idle? A/C?
