WOW!!! Way TMI!!!

While your devotion is touching, this is a family friendly site. What you and Cody do on your own time is YOUR business...I won't judge...but I'm pretty sure that I don't want to hear ALL of the details....

(Ooops. I meant to say, "Congrats!")

So, uh...er, um...what exactly is holding that new turbo on? Hmmm?

A 64 compressor hmmm? Nice, that should help with the EGT's as well as top end power.

I'm guessing that the difference between the SS and PS 64 is the turbine housing being a 12 or 13 for the SS and 14 or 16 for the PS that you got. Either way, having a turbine that is larger than stock will improve your drive pressure and reduce the chances of a blown head gasket.

How's are the street manors now?

No duct tape!! It melted!! ROFLMAO Actually 6 bolts. The problem so far is holding the hot side CAC to the Intercooler. I keep popping it off. The second time, this am, it sounded like a stick of dynamite. You should have seen the golfers of the golf course I was passing!! OMG!! REALLY funny!!

A bit more lag, but once she spools you'd BETTER have her pointed in the right direction!

Todd,

What's next on the list. tracbars?

Here's something to consider. Quadzilla has a rail pressure guage for the Common Rail Cummins. It's on a very limited release at the moment though. I'd expect a version for the Powerstroke's and Durmax's sometime soon.

And they have a beta test program. I know this because I'm beta testing a new version of the XZT module on me VP44 Cummins at the moment.

Already done. Next will be a new cam and rods. $900 for the cam, $2700-3000 for set of rods and around $3000 labor. Gotta pull the engine and seperate the block, yeah, power stroke is two part block. Will yield another 100HP and ELIMINATE the turbo lag.

That'd be great, but the PowerStroke isn't a common rail setup. It's a HEUI (Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injectors). I read my fuel pressure right at the regulator. 50 psi idle to 80 psi WOT.

I can see the extra hp but not eliminating the turbo lag. Reducing it yes from better air flow. I'm presuming that your PS64 has a 14cm turbine housing. It's not a monster but still needs more time than stock to spin up, especially since it's driving a fairly larger impeller on the compressor side. Hey, at least it's not pushing a set of sledpulling twins.

You've got a CP3 pump don't you? And not CR? Interesting.

Wait a minute...higher pressure at WOT? Controller on the lift pump? That's still just psi delivered to the injection pump isn't it? Granted, if your direct injection vs high pressure rail delivered is all you really need to monitor(same with my VP44).

Sounds like your having a lot of fun. Now if I could just win the lottery tonight....

Actually, the stock cam opens the exhaust 25-30 degrees early to build up backpressure to drive the EGR system. I ain't got no EGR system left, so we get a crank that's reground to eliminate that crap and voila, she runs like a gasser from the line.

Nope. No CP3 pump on the 6.0L.

No injection pump. Fuel is supplied into a fuel rail. The injectors are hydraulically fired via oil pressure. Upping the fuel pressure in the rail ensures that the injectors at the back still get all the fuel they need. 50PSI at idle ramping up to 80PSI with boost pressure as the controller via an Aeromotive Regulator.

Doh!!!! For some reason I was thinking the 6.0l's were running CR's. After looking up HEUI I understand my mistake. Oil actuated injectors, interesting.
