I'm sorry guys but I can't plan a meet that fits everyones schedule. I plan to check out the fair Sat. Anyone who wants to meet there pm me & we will plan a place to meet. All I can do is post possible places for us to meet. If none of the members can make it say something as soon as possible so I can try for a new date Or place.If you guys want to have G2Gs your gonna have to help me with finding places & setting dates for the G2Gs. I have weekends free. I have no idea what days you have open unless you post them. One member can't plan these G2Gs. Its gonna take a little effort from everyone. I'm not trying to go on a rant here. I'm just trying to find a way for some of our local members to meet & have a little fellowship. If we can have a small G2G at first hopefully it will grow into bigger things. I've been trying to get local meets going for 6 yrs now with another site. Its been very disappointing due to the small turnouts

That sounds good to me capbyrd. I'm open to any ideas. I think a central location like Shelby Farms would be a good place. Its free & has many places we can do the cookout. Why don't we set a date of Sept 29. Its the last Sat of the month & it gives everyone plenty of time to plan for it.

You got it Byrd. Lets hope we can get this G2G going. The cost will be small & the location shouldn't be too far to drive to for most west Tn members. I'll finally get to meet you. We are in 2 different forums as you know. I think I'll post this in both sites & see if it gets more people interested.

I like the Shelby Farms idea. Looks like it needs to be a BYOF (bring your own food) or planning would be a nightmare. Weekday evenings are ok, but its going to start getting dark earlier soon.

I think it needs to be a BYOF type of cookout Everyone should bring their own drinks too..That way no one gets stuck with the bill for the food. I can bring a grill. & paper plates I couldn't do a afternoon meet on a weekday. By the time I get off at 4 pm & get ready & drive to Shelby Farms it would be about 1 hr of light left. Lets stick with the last weekend in Sept. It will give us plenty of time to cook out & get to meet each other & check out everyones trucks

Well I just posted this meet in the Tn chapter of FTW also. Many of us are members of both groups. I'l bring my fish cooker & my grill so we can have plenty of coking ggea. I think I have about 2 gallons of frozen fish I can bring. WE need to be sure we bring paper plates & other things like plastic forks & drink cups. I'll bring the cooking tools needed to grill & cook fish. Lets get working on this meet. It could turn out to be a fun G2G. If anyone has a horseshoe set bring it & we can have a contest. I'm not that good but I like to play.

Well, I posted this on FTW as well, but I have to work the weekend of the 29th . I work every other weekend which is a drag when it comes to doing things like this. Sounds like it would be a great time.

We could move the date but there will still be someone who can't make the date we choose. If everyone wants to change it to a different date speak up. I'm ok with Sept 22 or Oct 6 if it would be better for more people. Everyone post up & decide which date would be best.
