The 260 is a V8. Clifford specializes in 4s & 6s. Just about anything that applies to a 289 will work with a 260. Stay with a 600 CFM 4 bbl and check around to see who sells intakes & headers for that motor. What's it going into?
Thanks Bill,
I purchased a 1975 Ford Pickup and the motor was just recently rebuilt by the previous owner. I would like to pep it up a bit, nothing drastic. I just finished installing dual exhaust with Flowmaster Mufflers. The carb is in need of a rebuild, so I figured it was as good as time as any to make a carb and intake swap. Thanks for the info.

Are you sure it's a 260? I'd be more inclined to think it was a 360 FE motor. Whole different family of engines from the 260/289/302 motors. Ford trucks never came with 260s stock but it could have been swapped.
Bill, the motor was swapped in from the former owner's 64 Falcon Conv. which was totaled out by a drunk driver. This happened about a month after he completed the rebuild on the motor. The truck at that time needed a motor so he made the swap and sold the truck to buy another Falcon. The motor runs great, just need a little more pep.

Cool, I had a 260 in a 63 Fairlane I resto'd and it was a spunky little engine. Edelbrock makes the Performer 289 intake which fits a 260 and they have 3 different 4V carbs, a 500, a 600 and a 650 cfm. Just remember a 260 is a little V8 so I'd probably go with the 600 at the most.
Thanks for the info Bill. I will check out the 298 Performer intake.
Since the truck is going to be used mainly for local driving, I'm leaning toward the 500 CFM Carb. I'll probably call Edelbrock and see
what they recommend for a Carb. Thanks again,
Hey, I had a 260 in my ’63 Falcon Sprint Convertible! When it needed a valve job, I swapped the heads for some early model 289 ones. They have bigger valves and a slightly larger chamber but still use the slot-guided pushrods with the fully adjustable rockers, a lot better than the later rail rockers IMO. Then the induction was changed out for an Edel. Torker and a Holley 600 cfm vacuum secondary. Rounded it off with a cam and some headers, man it was like night and day. Thing is, this was not a torque motor but it loved to rev. In a truck I’d run a dual-plane instead as bill suggests and don’t go wild on a cam if that’s in the plans later. See if you can find some tri-y headers to bring up the bottom end.
Keep in mind that you have a 5-bolt belhousing if you plan to make any changes there later.
Thanks for the info Barry. Future plans do not include a cam change, but headers are definately in the future. Installed a beefed up C4 along with 350 gears. Hopefully this combination will work well to help the 260 move the truck at a quicker pace. I'll check out the headers that you recommend.

I have an opportunity to swap a 351w out of my 65 f100 and put in a good 260. Will the headers bolt up or will I be out of luck and looking for a set?

Welcome to FTE David. It's easy to overlook posting dates here, I've done it myself. BB hasn't logged in since 2007, so it's unlikely he'll answer. Maybe try posting your question again as a standalone new post. Should be some folks ready to help though.
