I use Meguiars products for my truck. I use the Gold Class Vinyl/rubber protectant on the black plastic parts of my truck. It gives it a nice black shine and has kept it from fading. It isn't too shiny, just looks new. I use it every couple of weeks or when needed. I live in Texas so the sun is out of control here.
Haven't been to this site for a while, but was trying to find out how to clean the rails on my 2004 F150. That is very good news about being able to get them replaced under warranty. Espically since i only have about 2 months left. Headed to dealer on Monday to try my luck. Was there anything specific you told them to get them replaced?
If they won't it sounds like there are some products out there that will help. Thanks

No my service advisor was awesome I brought my truck in for the emblems and I said "my bed rails and cowling were faded more than I expected for two years old can you get them replaced". She said we will take pics and send them to Ford. She called me back and said the parts were ordered. The dealership I went to prior didn't even want to replace my emblems they were trying to say I peeled the paint off the emblems. That was the dealership I bought the truck from. I guess my only advice would be take it to a good dealership that wants to make a customer happy. By the way the dealership that really took great care of me is "Blue Oval Certified" not sure what that means but the one I brought it to first was not.
I bought some Tonneau Magic 404 (as recommended by Sport Masters) for my cover. It says it's good for vinyl, plastic and rubber. I used it on all my exterior trim plastic and it works and looks great! After several washings and a few rain showers I have not seen any run off on the paint. But then again my truck is white, which might make seeing run off more difficult, so to test it I also tried it on my old blue 93 Ranger's tonneau (it made the 14 year old cover look like new) and again I haven't seen any run off on it either. It is suppose to be very similar to the 303. Give it try, I think you will be happy.
Thanks for the reply. I believe my dealer is blue oval rated. it means "A dealership that achieves Blue Oval Certification must commit to the highest standards of customer satisfaction". The salesman went to school with one of my sons and his dad owns the place, so maybe that will help too. Did they offer any explanation for the fading?

no explanation on the fading. Some was self inflicted I used mothers back to black because they were faded and it looked good for a few days and after 5 days it looked real faded. Of course I didn't tell the dealer that. Stay away from mothers back to black it is a garbage product that they should take off the shelves.
