Here I go...

I'm going to the emissions testing center this morning and I'll post the results. I have a bad feeling but don't really know why. For those that have asked, Davidson county Nashville TN. has had emission testing since 1985. Nothing but another way for the gov. to get our $ IMO!

I have no idea but all vehicles under 10500 GVRW gas or diesel have to go through emissions in Davidson county Tn.

In AZ they smog mine, and I hate it. Every year too, what a rip off.

All they did on mine was you put it in neutral, and floor the holy **** out of it a couple times to verify the govenor is working, and they do smog sample the tail pipe, but doesn't do a lot just revving it up.

in pa you can by your sticker for tags, but the renewal fee goes up to like 4 or 500 a year, plus you'd have to get dot numbers and then that would open you to free harassment on a daily bassis, no mods are legal at all on big stuff

Well, it passed but what a joke. I don't think anyone at the testing center had a clue what they were doing. There are two bays for testing. One for big vehicles and one for regular. I sat in the the big one for 25 minutes and they told me it kept failing the test but it should pass. Then they make me pull out and back into the other one for regular vehicles. I had about two inches on either side of my dually fenders when backing in. It finally passed after 35 MINUTES in the testing bay! I really don't think they knew what they were doing. I said "what was the problem"? and they said "No problem it passed now" What a joke!

Clean it up and while you are in this are maybe a D66 turbo to clean things up a little and don't forget those heads they may need studs installed. Oh also the injectors look a little scuffed up, I would get new ones as well.

Seriously you can get the oil filler neck that is used on the SD's from the dealer. Don't have the PN handy but they can find it easy. It will save alot of oil from the VC and heads. It is around $5.00 or so.

What is a D66 turbo? It has fairly new injectors and I'm not sure I', looking at the right thing when you say "new studs for the head".
