mounting the cooler in that location allowed the use of the holes already in the core support, a few hoses had to get re-routed and the core support bar in the middle had to go becaus e the cooler is so thick, the pics show each mod location. twice i had to connect, one per side, the first on the drivers as you stated and one on the passenger side below the coolant bottle, the 6th pic you can see a part of the connection.
as for ease of mounting? dunno, i mounted the cooler first based on the most logical way i saw to make it clear without any future issues 100k down the road, the way its in there i didnt even pull the bumper, it literally just fell into place and sat quite nice, believe it or not its not even bolted to anything(look closely at the pics, i never got time) its been in there for about 40k miles, give or take a few, with only one time i lost a boost tube at the drivers side at the y-pipe, the mounting connection was too short and i couldnt get a good bite on the tube, added a longer piece and its never come off again. if you reach up in there you can move the cooler a little but it hits nothing, my plan was too make a small support to cradle the side tank on each side at the bottom and run it out to the bumper but i never got time to get around to it
I believe you go to insert link in edit sig and you can name it like we did. TJ taught me so if this is wrong I am sorry but there is a way and you can add a name like neal's pics etc.
If it don't work let me know I will investigate how I did it more.
