Light tapping noise and window

Well, my drivers window goes up fine but gets 3/4 way down and then goes real slow then when it hits the bottom and stops, theres a popping noise... I had the panel off and didn't notice anything. Also, only if i park with a wall on the passengers side idling, I can hear a light tapping/ knocking noise as if someone was hitting wood lightly with a hammer... I just did the AIS mod...perhaps i messed something up??? Enjoying the heck out of the truck otherwise...

Sounds like your window regulator fell apart.
The knock is the #8 cylinder cackle most likely. It's easier to hear at a distance than right next to the engine is why you are hearing it from the other side.

Reading up a bit on the cackle, there is, according to Ford and International, "nothing wrong." No cause for concern I presume? As for the regulator, I noticed if the window is soaking wet it works perfectly, just dry it seems to hang up going down. Easy repair? Probably all one assembly and I have to drill the rivets huh....
On a side note, you haven't replaced the serpentine belt tensioner have you? Mine is squeeky and it doesn't look like theres much room to work with. Should I do belt also?? Thanks for the assistance!!

Well, I noticed my windows were acting a little slow, and I did the "Power Window Lube" per kwik's thread and haven't had a problem since. I also sprayed the fabric tracks with CRC silicone to help there. Here is the thread that I started (the link to kwik's is in there):

Oh, and on the "Cackle being normal" thing, look at some of the mods done that fix the "normal" cackle. I'm about to do mine this weekend and next (parts get here today). Ford calls it normal, but the general consensus is that the quieter the injectors are, the longer they'll last.

Ill look into the long lead injector... Tried the window track with no luck. Probably a borken reg as kwik said. Going to have to fix that. Thanks for the help!
