mirror wiring question

well, i finally got my tow mirrors and they have a round plug, my truck is of course the rectangle. now i only have 3 wires from the plug and 3 from the mirror, instead of looking for another set, id like to just cut off the round connector, splice in the rectangle one and go with it. anyone know which color wires i need to splice together? of course they are different colors.

I just put 08's on both an 01 and an 04 .. if memory serves the wiring for the mirror power is the same regardless of year - driver's side is yellow (common hot) and blue and red .. passenger side is yellow (common hot) and purple and green. Your factory wiring should be the same colors.

i have a blue black and red wires in from my factory mirrors. which wires match the wires on the new mirrors?

i figured it out, just started hooking up wires, couldnt be to hard there was only 3. thanx guys
