oh so there is no since in me doing it now... but i already did the 10k mod and i love it is there anything else simple as the 10k mod that i can do 2 my truck 2 help with performance????
gut the exhaust back pressure valve and maybe a diy tymar (napa 6637 filter), both of those will make a noticeable difference and might cost ya a whoppin 40 bucks or so.
well since i pull alot of show cars and other stuff with my truck... i am using the backpressure valve for a engine brake... and another thing is i forgot 2 mention the catylitic converter is off of my truck and the muffler is 2 i got a stack coming out of the bed... and i have really been considering the tymar intake i have heard alot of good stuff about this setup... and i was wondering how good the superchip programmer is for these trucks???? well i was actually wondering how much more power they give u
10K mod tricks the computer and puts out about 200 PSI more HP oil to the injectors. This is partly what most chips do.

Tymar intake is the way to go. As for HP added not much. but it will help your turbo spool alittle faster. One thing with diesel that is different that gas engines is that it pretty much always takes more fuel to get more HP. But most of these mods are needed at supporting mods. Intake and exhuast give minimal HP and Torque gains but without them a chip is not safe to use.
Superchip programmer will give you good power but not as good as a tony wildman or DP-tuner chip. They cost the same and are much better. Save your money by buying the right programming the first time. Also with a stock injectored chip the biggest gain with a chip you will see is 50-70 hp. The injectors just aren't capable of flowing any more fuel than that.
it has a garrett turbo stock, but if you're talking about ball-bearing turbos then i think you can get direct bolt ons... but i would go for a beans dominator66 if you were upgrading
Let me be more spicific, I opened the houd looking to see what turbo i had and its a garrett. is this a after market turbo? And is it ok to be there. I've owned the truck for 75,000 miles bought it at 70,000. 97 7.3 5 speed. It does run great and pulling 8,000lb over the sierras in fourth was no prob.
chances are it's the stock turbo, garrett turbos are put into these at the factory, max boost is rated at about 35psi blah blah blah it should also be a 1.15 turbo housing, if you look on the intake side it should say it at about the 11 O'clock position
