Its even easier cause theres no paint to screw up around the badges, and i was amazed at how easy this gray stuff came off with brakekleen

I like it!!! Since I just got done cleaning the paint off all the badges, this would be a super nice touch!!! So you just used plain old brake cleaner??? I have some CRC Brake Parts Cleaner in the garage. I guess I found something to do tomorrow while I wait for Friday to come (CCK, SS HPX, and ITP Hutch Kit comes Friday!!!)...

Ya BrakeKleen i think is the brand, that CRC will probably work too, spray it on a rag and wipe off the paint. Might want to use a glove if u have sensitive hands though

I don't have sensitive hands. I didn't use gloves when I took that paint off the badges with acetone, or when I took the insulation off the I/C tube with Sol-U-Strip. But thanks for the reminder...

On, second thought, I wonder if the acetone would work just as well on the grill as it did on the badges??? I'll try it tomorrow and let you all know...

If you try the Acetone, make sure it is on a spot you can not see. Acetone may damage the parts.

I like the front license plate, LOL. Looks more like a billy goat than a Ram.

Yeah, I'll test it. I'm not completely sure mine is one with chrome underneath. When I got the truck, there was a mark in the grill paint that I thought was bug guts. I scrubbed at it with one of those bug remover sponges and it started cleaning the bronze paint off. Black is what I saw underneath... We'll see shortly.

I like the complete chrome grill look. Did not realize that it was all chrome under the paint. My truck had a flame grill so I needed to get a new one anyway. Ended up buying one that was completely chromes on ebay for around $100.

Well, mine is not chrome underneath which is what I suspected.

Bummer -- the whole thing chrome looks really good. I may do the '05 upgrade sometime, but for now, I'm into the internal mods...

Kwik, yes its a hybrid ram, doll sheep, kinda critter. Im into stickers its kinda my thing, its the logo from BACKCOUNTRY.COM
i needed something to put on the license plate thing cause down here in FL you dont get a front plate. I think im going to get rid of the whole thing soon, my power steering pump would probably like it
