yeah, over there you pretty much just have to read a lot before you start posting. n00b questions go in the n00b 4x4 forum, hardcore tech goes in general. searching is your friend, and don't take anything personally. adhere to that, and you'll survive. not only will you survive, but you will have the ability to learn more on that website than any other website with regards to offroading. good luck to you

Went to go buy more steel and their bandsaw was out of commision for a while so i had to find some peices that I didnt really want, but will have to make work..
looks good josh u have given me a very good area to start on mine. im just waiting for the electriction to wire up my garage for my welder. Good luck on the sale.
I notice with the flux core I can actually see the metal melting and meshing. Mig you can't see it that well. Gives some ugly welds, but it should look good after I clean them up and sandblast them. Also, reading in the manual, they suggest flux core for 3/16 and up for full penetration. (110, 140v)
You can usually get stronger/cleaner welds with a shielding gas over a flux core wire... so long as it isn't windy or you are in a shop. Anyways, the bracketry welds are pretty good for flux core... but there is always room for improvement
