Update on the 6.4 again

Ditched the DPF on the truck today. truck sounds premo! No regen cycles or flashin codes. The turbo sounds great, cant wait to finish my custom Kwik filter setup. Tryin to stuff a 6637 into the cramped engine bay. After that it'll be tuner time. Muahahaha

Cowboy Steve

P.S.- this truck rolls the coal! It smokes like it has tunes already. Cant wait to see what it rolls with a tuner and tunes by Matt at LIPD.

Somehow I don't think he cares. But I'll be paying attention to see how it all goes just because I can't afford a truck like that.

Damn Cowboy, that's gutsy to do on a brand new truck!

BTW, do you have a way to lift the cab if/when you need to work on it?

Yes pretty much anything other than a fuel filter and maybe a few sensors the cab comes up. Most dealership do that already with the 6.0 and some with the 7.3 superduty depending on what needs to be done. Most techs say they can have the cab in the air inside of 1 hour. And it makes working on the engine very easy!

I figured you'd appreciate my enginuity. Trucks straight piped right now. Finally found an exhaust shop who would remove the filters and muff for me. They left the sensors in place basically. Truck runs fine, im getting no regens or codes as of yet. I am worried about the pressure sensor located infront of the DPF so im gonna call up Matt at Spartan Diesel, used to work at LIPD, see if he has any aces in the hole. We'll keep ya posted......

Cowboy Steve

P.S.- Im creating my own 6.4 version of the tymar intake. So many mods, so little time
