HP/Torque Rating
Thanks Beggs for the info. I have had this truck for about three years. I am the second owner and it has 67,000 miles and just love the truck to pull a trailer and my race car. I didn't realize until recently that there were after market products that could increase the power of the engine. I am **** about the maintenance services for the truck
I live in the Phila area. Can anyone recommend a shop that could do some MILD upgrades that would increase the power of the engine?

We are all the shop you need! Do you work on your race car? if you know a ratchet from pliers then you can do the work on your own truck. Thats is only if you want to.
Your first upgrade needs to be intake and exhuast. The tymar intake or the knock off of it using the Napa 6637 filter and at the very least replace the flattened out down pipe or a complete 4" or bigger exhaust.
Those won't add much power but will help with throttle response and temps. Not to mention they sound very nice!
Lurk around here for a while. read every post and you will learn a ton about your truck. More than any ford dealer and many diesel shops. Don't let these computerized diesel scare you one bit. With a few tools and this site they are easy to work on. I would work on Powerstrokes all day long if I could.

Diesel are different. But they can still be worked on by the average joe and should only need the occasional scan or two to retrieve computer codes.
As for where to buy intake and exhaust. you can buy them direct from Dale at Tymar
here is his future web site but for now you will need to call the phone number.
http://www.tymarperformance.com/
this is also a good site
http://www.beansdieselperformance.com/
And yet another
http://www.itpdiesel.com/
All of those have great products and great service.
For the intake I really suggest just getting that straight from Tymar. there are other big name intakes out there that cost 2 or 3 time more but this system is proven and simple.
