Rear Wheel Width

Just getting ready to get a new set of wheels for my '64. I was wondering if I can get 15x10 wheels on the back, or are 15x8 as wide as i can go?

Anyone else have a pain that they could measure the backspacing on?

Sure I still have the rims on the ******. I will measure the back space, take a pic and add to this post later today OK, I do have air shocks on my truck and I dont know if that is why they fit or not. (They never have air in them) It will all depend on what size tires, If your truck is lowerd etc. The best addvice I could give you would be to go to your local Discount Tire shop, With the Truck. They can tell you for sure.

In addition to the width, any ideas on where to get reasonable proced wheels? Being that they are 5x5.5, my choices are minimal. I found some with Wheel Vintiques, just didt know it that was the best i could do.

I have 15x10 American Racing AR-23 wheels on my 66 SWB with 15 295 50's on them and they fit. I have to be careful on big bumps and don't carry much of a load. The wheelwells are crimped to give some extra room. If yo could find some wheels with a little more offset to the inside that would give you more room. 15x8's will fit with no problems. I contacted an EBay seller and he has them for about $100 each plus shipping.

my plan was to run 15x6 in the front and 15x8 in the rear. The rear using a 275/60/15...thoughts?

Trouble is I have simple 235/75/R15 on it now as storage/building wheels and my 460 eats them up....I really wanted the fattest i could get to go on the back.

the wheels I am looking at has a 15x10, but it has a 4-1/2" backspacing.
