I dont want to start one of those "what grill do you like" posts, but I think I'm going to.. sorry.
This is my 79 F100 with a 73-77 grill shell. Currently with 73-75 grilles painted black.
I do plan on a repaint (it isn't as pretty as it looks) and at that time I'll put the FORD back in the grill shell.
Just wondering what the collective opinion is on the black.. or 73-75 silver... or, 76-77s?

I'm not a fan of the front end of 78-79's. I much prefer the the 73-77 shell. I like the 73-75 inserts better too. I'm not sure about the black though. I don't think however the argent color would look good either. Maybe the stock argent 76-77 would work better, I think it looks nice the way it is.

I think the argent grille would look best for ya...
My '78 had the argent grille with chrome leading edges, and I loved it. It also had the square chrome headlight buckets.
I also loved the grille of my 1974 F100 in argent. It is a readily recognizeable Ford thing when it is seen.
Not many grilles have I seen painted actually looking good, unless it matches the body color on a custom painted truck, but even then it can be a risk to get it right.

The truck looks great. The only things that threw me are the clear lenses on the front Marker/ blinkers.
